Being a student of Master Grogan's for 17 years, I've witnessed the effective results of the ABC program. There are many students who have walked through our doors with low confidence & self esteem who discover the great person that they truly are. We do our best to instil this by positively reinforcing having an attitude of doing your best. Our goal is to start a confidence spiral that allows them to confront situations in a whole new way. The story of Logan sums up similar success stories that I've witnessed in kids at our academy. It also sheds an interesting perspective of Master Grogan's own life experience growing up on the farm. There are many life lessons shared that helps lay the groundwork for properly applying the ABC's. The central theme is that humility & perseverance are foundation for a change in attitude. When these two principles are accepted & followed by actionable behaviors suggested in the novel, then the ABC's are possible to follow. Learning the ABC's a simple, but not easy process. As noted in the story of Logan, results don't happen overnight. Character development can't be rushed. You simply have to take things one day at a time, and have a willingness to improve with training each day. By following the instructions, the mind & body will reach a point of fortitude where it is protected from others that wish to harm you. From my understanding of our training in martial arts, this is reaching the state of being bullyproof.

Want your child to know more about what it feels like to be bullied. Even if they are not being bullied they will understand what a bully feels when going through it. This book brought back so many memories of my Middle School Bullies. And also reminded me of how my Martial arts training helped me. As well as why I teach today.
